License A also contains A1, A2 and A3, because for all licenses there's only one theory exam. If you've had a license for 2 years and you want to go up, then you don't need to take a theory exam again. Furthermore, you may start with your license from 17 years and 9 months. If you've passed, it's important that you take your license A exam within 3 years after passing your theory.
The exam consists of 50 questions that are read to you from the computer.
After these questions are read, you still have 15 seconds to give an answer.
When you've submitted the exam, you must have at least 41 points, which means you may make a maximum of 9 mistakes to get the license.
Didn't pass the exam? Then you may retake it until you pass.

In general, the pass rate for theory A is quite low (around 40%). That's why it's extra important to be well prepared for the exam. To increase the chance that you pass, you can apply these tips. This way you significantly reduce the chance that you have to come back for a new attempt.
First, you can make a study plan. What do you need to learn, and when are you going to learn this? A good execution starts with a good plan. And once you're learning and practicing, use quality practice material. By practicing what you've learned, the study material stays much better, applying knowledge ensures that it's stored better in your memory. In addition, with good practice exams you get a strong picture of your pass chances. If you, for example, consistently pass practice exams, then you enter the exam with more confidence.
Finally, you can prepare by sleeping well and getting enough rest. This way you have more energy to really concentrate during the exam. Stay mentally attentive but don't let yourself be rushed! After listening to the question, you still have 15 seconds and if you've really prepared yourself well, then this is enough. If you really don't know, then take a guess. Then you still have a chance at the correct answer.
